Control Room

The 30m2 Control Room is spacious and comfortable with warm décor, designed to be conducive to creativity and efficient workflow.

The studio operates around Steinbergs "Nuendo" production system. Delivering a next-generation audio production environment for audio post, studio production, and live recording, Nuendo  empowers audio professionals by elevating creativity and productivity to new heights.

The analogue heart of the studiio is a Mackie 24x8•bus console. This is the definitive 8 bus console that's used by more artists, groups, composers, and production facilities than any other brand. The Mackie 8•Bus Series has never been equalled for sound quality. They have recorded more platinum albums and major motion picture soundtracks than any other mixer in their class
We also have a comprehensive selection of outboard pre-amps, compressors and effects units by leading brands such as Lexicon. Presonus, Alesis, Ensoniq, Rane , etc

Just off the control room is a booth with plenty of space to set up for  recording instruments or  vocals.  Their is also a generous kitchen area and Toilet/washroom

Live Room

The studio has a spacious live room (36m2) with Natural  lighting and a great view of the Burren hills.

We designed a purpose built room which is warm and inviting and sounds great to play in. Many studios make the mistake of overdoing sound treatment and creating a dead sounding space. When you sing or play in these rooms it sounds as if your notes are dropping straight to the floor!  Surely you can never give your best performance in a space like this! Instead we have carefully controlled our room reverberations to create a space which is good to perform in and also makes great sound recordings.

The room acoustics can be controlled  using  moveable acoustic panel absorbers to provide the optimum room reverberation for the recording.  For example slow music sounds better with longer reverb times, whereas fast pieces require shorter times, and speech recordings sound better in a dry sounding space.
